Sony Ericsson W580 and Z750 announced
Sony Ericsson today announces two new Walkman® phones: W580, the Walkman® phone with street style and Z750, Sony Ericsson’s first Tri-band HSDPA and Quad-band EDGE enabled phone.

Sony Ericsson’s new W580 WALKMAN® phone announced today is the music phone that’s pure street style. This slim slider phone speaks volumes in urban cool while delivering the full-on Walkman® phone music experience.
At only 14mm thin, you wonder where the W580 finds room for all of that music, the camera and the fun applications. But it does, effortlessly, and there is no compromise on the full Walkman® phone experience. As well as storing up to 470 full-length music tracks (in eAAC+ codec), it is incredibly easy to get music from your computer into the phone, since the Disc2Phone music management software and USB cable all come in the box. You can even use TrackID™ to identify music tracks you don’t recognise, regardless of whether they are playing out loud or via the phone’s RDS FM Radio. With all this going on, make sure you take time to notice the light effects on the W580. Navigate to the Walkman® player and they automatically change to a glowing orange colour.
The 2.0 megapixel camera and fast connectivity make picture blogging and instant messaging second nature. 3D Gaming is fast action too with hit titles preloaded. The slider action also allows for a large 2.0” colour screen, ideal not just for gaming but also web browsing and viewing your camera photos.
The W580 Walkman® phone is a 2.5G, Quad Band EDGE device (850/900/1800/1900) and will be available in selected markets from Q3 2007.

The Z750 is Sony Ericsson’s first Tri-band HSDPA and Quad-band EDGE enabled phone. It offers full broadband speed for web access, email handling and picture blogging on the move, all within a stand-out design. More than good looks, though, this phone packs the functionality to keep you up-to-speed, instantly and effortlessly, with updates from any number of sources – including the web, true push email and live tickertape RSS feeds that scroll across the phones desktop.
This HSDPA enabled phone is optimised to deliver the information that you want, when you want, straight to the desktop of your phone. Whether this is notification of the latest news headlines via an RSS Ticker scrolling across the screen, or a traffic update popping-up just before you are due to leave work, the Z750 is the perfect mobile partner.
The Z750 isn’t all work though. The 2.0 megapixel camera takes great shots and the large 2.2” screen is perfect for sharing the results, as well as for viewing email and browsing the net. Thanks to the phone’s HSDPA capability, uploading your camera pictures to a blogsite can be done at broadband-speed, making it easy to keep your friends and family posted while you are away. There’s an all-round media player that supports all the major music formats so you can enjoy your favourite songs while travelling. If you get tired of these, the Z750 provides a built-in FM radio with RDS and 3D gaming capabilities. Perfect for those long commutes.
Whether it’s the serious business of work email, the fun business of blogging a picture that you have just taken or simply jumping online to check cinema listings, the Sony Ericsson Z750 lets you do it at broadband speed. It is a Tri-band HSDPA (850/1900/2100), Quad-band EDGE (850/900/1800/1900) phone and will be available in selected markets from Q3 2007.
