BenQ-Siemens S81, EF91, EF51 debut
BenQ-Siemens S81
At only a slender 13 mm, it is one of the world’s slimmest UMTS-mobiles to offer complete UMTS functionality.

Movies and video clips can be downloaded or watched on the move in real time via a fast UMTS connection (data rate of up to 384 Kbps) – and in superb quality thanks to video streaming and downloading in H264/AAC+ format. Additionally, music plays directly onto the mobile via UMTS-supported audio streaming or downloading in the formats MP3, AAC, AAC+, AMR and WMA and can be listened to anytime and anywhere via the stereo headset supplied.

The BenQ-Siemens S81 is also perfectly equipped for video calls with a second camera (VGA) above the large 2-inch TFT screen (262,144 colors, 176 x 220 pixels). Calls can then be made face to face in handsfree mode or with the Headset Bluetooth® Comfort (EU/UK) HHB-160/161 (available as an accessory) to friends and colleagues. The Headset connects wirelessly via the mobile’s Bluetooth® interface and permits a particularly high level of comfort, weighing in at only 19g.

The S81 UMTS all-rounder provides a 1.3 megapixel camera with 10x digital zoom, LED photolight and separate camera key for spontaneous snapshots. A photo editor is also integrated for subsequently touching up the photos. Special moments can even be captured in moving pictures on the built-in camcorder. If the internal telephone memory (30 MB) is insufficient for all data, photos and movies, the mobile’s storage capacity can be extended to up to 1 GB using microSD™ cards.

The BenQ-Siemens S81 will be available in Q2/2006 in a Black/Silver color variant. Prices will be determined locally.

BenQ-Siemens EF91
The EF91 from BenQ Mobile is the world’s first mobile to support HSDPA (High Speed Download Packet Access) and thus marks a revolution in mobile multimedia devices. This innovative transmission technology makes mobile data transfer even faster. Photos, movies and music are available at five times the speed of conventional UMTS transmissions. HSDPA technology allows video clips and television recordings to be viewed directly on the Internet in real time on the brilliant 2-inch color display of this high-tech mobile phone.

Apart from viewing personal photo and video shots in brilliant quality on the large, 2-inch TFT mobile display (240 x 320 pixels, 262,000 colors), the latest news and stock market prices can also be read conveniently on the Internet whilst on the move. Music and video clips can be downloaded directly from the Internet onto the EF91 equally effortlessly via HSDPA technology. All multimedia content can be stored on microSD cards, which can simply be plugged into the slot provided on the mobile phone. The built-in MP3 music player boasts novel 3D surround sound that makes for realistic sound effects. Precious moments can be captured spontaneously in pictures whilst on the move at any time with the aid of the integrated 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, digital zoom, photolight and camcorder function.

The BenQ-Siemens EF91 will be available in summer 2006 in different color variants. Prices will be determined locally.

BenQ-Siemens EF51
The EF51 from BenQ-Siemens is the ideal music player with integrated mobile phone for heavy music users on the move. The EF51 is equipped with an integrated 1.3 megapixel digital camera. Concealed under a flap at the front of the mobile is the phone’s keypad. Supported by music formats MIDI , XMF and MP3, 64 different ringtones can be selected.

Clearly arranged keys for play, pause as well as fast forward and backward functions are located below the 1.6-inch TFT color display (262,144 colors, 128 x 128 pixels) for quick and easy operation.

Apart from an FM radio, the EF51 boasts a player for music files in MP3, WMA, AAC and AAC+ formats. A particularly convenient feature is the voice-operated music selection (Speech-to-Music™) function, which allows users to simply tell their mobile phone the name of the song and it starts playing, so a search function isn’t needed!

Even a large music collection will find ample room on the interchangeable miniSDâ„¢ cards. Songs stored on a PC can be easily transferred onto the mobile using the USB data cable supplied. The stereo headset that comes with the mobile ensures excellent sound quality.

The BenQ-Siemens EF51 will be available in Q2/2006 in white and black color variants. Prices will be determined locally.
